Supporting Sunrunner Transit Oriented Development at City Council (Part 1)
Connect Pinellas attended the April 14th City Council 1st Reading and Public Hearing to support the City’s implementation of the SunRunner Rising Study and expanding eliminating parking minimums within a ¼ mile of Sunrunner stations to allow for flexibility in development for communities who may be car free or car lite.
Advocating for Complete Streets funding at the City of St. Petersburg’s Annual Budget Open House
Connect Pinellas during public comment, addressed including Compete Streets funding as a budget priority for the upcoming fiscal year, as well as local partnership with FDOT to pursue alternative funding initiatives, such as Safe Routes to Schools, to address much needed infrastructure work like the much neglected Lakewood Trail Connector, which connects 31st S and 34 St S under I-275.
