PUBLIC TRANSIT

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) - PSTA has been safely connecting people to places in Pinellas County for over 40 years. Think of this as your friendly roadmap to becoming a transit superstar.

  • Schedules can be found using PSTA’s online trip planner or the Transit app.

  • You can also call the PSTA InfoLine at 727-540-1900 (available seven days a week) and tell them where you’re starting and where you want to go.

  • Find your stop by looking for official PSTA bus stop signs. Bus drivers can only pick you up at marked stops.

  • Signal the bus when you see it approaching. Check the route number above the windshield and give a friendly wave so the operator knows you’re ready to board.

1 - Find the right bus

  • Have your fare ready before the bus arrives using one of the accepted forms of payment: exact change, credit or debit card, or the Flamingo app or card.

  • Board through the front door.

  • If you need accessibility features—all buses have wheelchair lifts and most have kneeling devices. Just let the operator know.

2 - Board the bus

  • Have a bike? The SunRunner has three (3) interior bike racks, and all other busses have a bike rack with space for two (2) bikes on the front.

  • Front seats are reserved for seniors and people with disabilities.

  • FREE Wi-Fi! Yes, you read that right—all buses have free internet (Learn how to connect here)

  • Request stop announcements if you need them.

  • Signal early by pulling the cord or pushing the strip near the window. Buses need more time to stop than cars, so give your operator plenty of notice.

  • Exit through the rear door whenever possible—it keeps things flowing smoothly for everyone.

  • When the bus reaches the end of its route and turns around, that’s the end of the line—and the end of your current fare. You’ll need to pay another fare if you want to continue further.
