E-Bike and E-Scooter Share Program

E-bikes and e-scooters are available to be rented in Downtown St. Petersburg through Lime and Spin. The goal of the City of St. Pete's bike & scooter share program is to have a safe, affordable, and equitable mobility option supporting the City’s parking and transit systems. The bike & scooter share program will continue to be an amenity that improves the quality of life for downtown and surrounding neighborhoods by stimulating economic development, improving the physical environment, and maintaining high rates of customer satisfaction for residents and visitors.

HOW TO RIDE

  1. Download the Lime app or the Spin App on iOs or Android.

  2. Locate a vehicle near you using the selected app to view a live map of available vehicles throughout St. Pete. You can see real-time availability and battery levels.

  3. Scan the QR code on the vehicle or enter the code to unlock. Follow on-screen instructions to start your ride.

  4. Park neatly in a designated bike/scooter share hubs, and click "End Ride" in the app

GET THERE SAFELY

Keep the rules of the road in mind as you ride, and enjoy!

  • Must be 18+ to ride

  • Only one (1) rider per vehicle

  • Ride in bike lanes or on streets with a speed limit of 30 MPH or less

  • Riding on trails is okay except along the waterfront; yield to pedestrians

  • Riding to the Pier is okay, but not on the Pier; you’ll find scooter corrals on the street at the base of the Pier

  • Wear a helmet

  • NO sidewalk riding

  • Follow traffic rules

  • Do not ride against the flow of traffic

  • Yield to pedestrians at intersections and crossings

  • Ride with your driver's license or photo ID

  • Park only in designated bike/scooter share hubs to end your ride

  • Violations may result in fines and account suspension

  • Ride carefully and respectfully

PRICING & DISCOUNT PROGRAMS

A variety of pricing options are available, including discount programs for income-eligible riders and St. Pete residents: 

Lime

  • Standard pricing per-minute (rates vary by demand)

  • St. Pete Pass: $40.99 for 250 minutes + free unlocks (a 54% discount)

  • Lime Access: Income-eligible riders receive a 70% discount

Spin

  • Standard Rate: $1 to unlock + $0.42/min

  • St. Pete Resident Rate: $1 to unlock + $0.34/min

  • Distance-Based Option: $1.50 per mile + $1 unlock - great for riders who prefer a more leisurely pace

  • Spin Access: Income-eligible residents receive up to 3 free 30-minute rides per day
